A puzzle platformer about a journey through an atmospheric wasteland, this game is a pinnacle of design brilliance.

Far: Lone Sails is the kind of game that sticks with you after seeing credits. It delivers a fascinating mystery in a strange land with engaging puzzles, and couples that with a relationship between the player and their oversized mode of transportation. A few areas lack polish and some of the physics felt off here and there, but none of that stopped the story from engaging me in a big way.

It's not about the destination, but about the journey, as an ol' sayin' goes that FAR Lone Sails captures perfectly. With so little, this game delivered so much on different levels and provides unique experience, feel and vibe. Embark on this epic, yet short, voyage in peculiar locomotive vehicle that will be your mobile shelter and "home".

Driving the unique vessel is very engaging but simple environmental puzzles are pale in comparison. At the end of the day Far: Lone Sails is a stylish, atmospheric tale of journey. [07/2018, p.58]

Okomotive has done a beautiful job with their debut game of weaving together simple a simple story and gameplay with gorgeous visuals and soundtrack.

The game takes so much more than it gives, forgetting that a journey isn't simply about the means of travel.

Nice visuals and interesting gameplay mechanics, but there's a little bit of drag when traveling from one puzzle to the next. For a lot of the game, you will be staring at the environment waiting to hit the next obstacle. Many of the puzzles were also so easy you couldn't even really call them puzzles, but there were some good ones. Overall, it's definitely worth playing and look forward to seeing what the studio brings next. They have potential. Expand
