It's fun when you cooperate with friends and get out of the crowd of zombies by sneaky ways. But due to the dull shooting experience and repeated puzzles, it hardly ever satisfies me.

Overkill’s TWD is a game meant to be played with friends. If you want to enjoy a coop experience and you like the series, it’s probably a good choice, although if you’re playing alone you would probably better off looking elsewhere.

First impressions can often leave you feeling like it’s a slow, groggy mess with too much to manage and too many tough survivors working against you. But once you get deep enough into the game, only then does it start to feel more enjoyable, which sadly isn’t how it should be.

It channels the grit and desperation of the TV show well enough, but the prolonged development has ended in a co-op shooter that feels outdated and unexceptional.

Blasting through the higher difficulty levels with friends is great fun, and the initial few hours are a pleasure, but once you get into the meat of the game and its myriad of glaring issues, it quickly becomes apparent that this game is not living up to its own potential.

The best loot-driven games rely on a great progression to spur you on, to get you so excited that you don’t mind replaying the same old levels. “Overkill’s The Walking Dead” seems to expect that, once you’ve started playing and leveling up a character, you simply won’t be able to stop. There are plenty of games, even time sinks, that will treat you better.

Imagine reaching the final minutes of an hour-long mission only for your connection to drop and, in turn, your progress to be lost. Overkill’s The Walking Dead certainly stokes the player’s despair, but not the sort that its developers intended.

This is a challenging and realistic game that is perfect together with a couple of friends. We had tons of both tension and laughter during our first session playing. Expand

I like a series of walking dead, so when I play this game it's better than watching the movie.

I have played around 30h (including beta) and I must say that I had a lot off fun. Don't give up after the first levels, give it some time and it will reward you. It's a great combination of stealth and crazy Zombie-smashing) I prefer the stealth parts) You need to be care full, and not make any unnecessary sounds. CO is a must. Expensive? yes, but I can see myself play this for hundreds of hours so...

When some minor bugs are fixed, I'll give it a 10

This game with a good PC looks spectacular, it is very fluid and its gameplay is perfect. It has a difficulty that is already quite extreme in normal mode, we do not want to imagine how it will be in higher difficulties. You have game for a long time, it takes a lot of farming to get a character with a lot of level and keep the camp in good condition. The IA works very well too. The game is addictive but I recognize that it is not for everyone. You have to have a lot of patience, and it is advisable to play with friends. It deserves an opportunity because as I said before, it can not be that they want to sink a game just for some videos seen long ago. Expand

This is game made by guys from Starbreeze but you can see 505 games in every spot of this game. It's obvious that a lot of people invested in this game but it just doesn't work. Well... literally speaking it does work as a software but it's not a good game. You may find it odd that we have 2 kinds of people here. One of them is the group of people who enjoyed the game because you can actually enjoy it. And the second group is people who may or may not enjoyed it but they are furious because the price is very high (AAA price) for a game which isn't a AAA title. 10$ cheaper and everybody would be happy. However, the developers and probably more people involved in this investment, because games are investments nowadays, are obviously trying to manipulate us, the public to love their game. Or at least to show someone that "people" like it. We live in 2018 and we have to deal with some "modern" problems. They made this game to get our money but they forget that we actually see that this product doesn't contain love or passion. I will express myself differently. We actually see that the only love or passion in this game is based on greed and we can't stand it. It's not the worst game ever, and I see that there were people really trying to deliver a good quality game but the Greed is everywhere here. I would recommend lowering the price and stop spamming 10/10 on meta because it changes nothing. Expand

Also the matchmaking is a joke and seemingly teams you up with casual players who don't have a clue how to play the game and just run around wrecking it for everyone instead of it being ranked and skill based and to add insult to injury, there's no VOIP, which means you can't play this game seriously, but then again it's to be expected by the likes of Starbreeze knowing their track record (dlc milking, raid, delays, hype, cgi-trailers, etc.) in other words this is yet another low effort cash grab by a company riding on the train of a successful franchise and how they dare to ask $60 ($80 for deluxe) for this garbage is beyond me, get it together guys, there are better games out there for half the price and games that actually deserves $60 such as Red Dead Redemption 2.
