  • Summary: Night falls on Lustria. As you stand on the dock and peer seawards through the gathering mists, strain your ears. The jungle sounds behind you fade, and in their place comes a wet thudding, as of rotten rigging against a mouldy mast. The sound multiplies, and with it, the groan of a thousandNight falls on Lustria. As you stand on the dock and peer seawards through the gathering mists, strain your ears. The jungle sounds behind you fade, and in their place comes a wet thudding, as of rotten rigging against a mouldy mast. The sound multiplies, and with it, the groan of a thousand breathless voices, joined in something part-shanty, part-dirge. Dread prows pierce the gloom ahead, and the ghastly truth is laid bare: upon the ghoul-winds come the swollen hulks and decaying vessels of the Vampire Coast! Run now – run hard and fast. For it is all you can do.

A delicious deep dive into the Legendary Lords of the Vampire Coast. With its unique victory conditions and mechanics that scream YAAARRR, it’s a welcome addition to the Total War: Warhammer universe and well worth your time and money.

From the seas comes the undead hordes of the Vampire Coast. Prepare yourself to either resist or bring the terrors of the oceans ashore as the sea-faring zombie pirates. From shambling musket-wielding warriors to shipwrecks reanimated into towering artillery pieces, you are sure to get your fix of piracy and destruction.

Following the amazing Tomb Kings expansion, I wasn’t expecting to see yet another curve ball, but The Curse of the Vampire Coast mostly delivers it.

Creative Assembly's art team has outdone itself on Curse of the Vampire Coast, building a visual treat that drips with detail. The campaign is an inventive but uneven experience, with some Legendary Lords more enjoyable than others.

A nice visual addition to the game. The models and mechanics are an interesting (and needed) addition to the base game.

Having said this, for £15 you would expect nothing less. Better than a lot of the other DLC's available, it is still by no means a must buy.

Visually impressive but moderately underpowered compared to most other factions in the game.

Dull reskin. Lost my love for CA. Political activism in a historical title took the shine off and now every DLC is just a reskin.
