I have enjoyed the X Games pass for Steep. I think it has far more positives than negatives. The inclusion of actual events means that you have something to play for, and the design of said events is more impressive than not. It’s a solid expansion to an ever-growing game.

While the X Games content might be quickly exhausted, there’s still plenty to dig in the base game. For newcomers, Steep X Games Gold Edition is a great entry point to hit the virtual slopes. It’s modestly priced and includes the base game and Winterfeast DLC alongside the X Games pass. I could almost say that the pass is mandatory for the previous owners of Steep, too, because slopestyle is such an essential addition to the game. Hoping to see you on the slope!

With the new DLC dedicated to the X Games, Steep is now complete. After two years, the gameplay offers mechanics for both type of gamer: extreme or technician. This DLC is the right content at the right time, although limited by the gameplay design.

It's a shame The X Games Pass doesn't offer a new area to play in even though the challenges it serves up are great. The X Games Pass also isn't that long. You'll need to find enjoyment in the new tricks to learn, which is fun to do.
